This is an illustrated map I made for the Wall Street Journal, featured in the Mansion section of their Oct. 9, 2026 edition. This particular page is called Rich Zips and spotlights insider info for “some of the priciest zip codes in America.” This one focuses on Stowe, Vermont, most well-known as an alpine ski destination as well as a place to view fall colors. But, as my map shows, there is also an annual hot air balloon festival and the world-famous von Trapp Family Lodge & Resort.
