This is a simple line map showing the routes of both the Katy Trail and Rock Island State Parks. The Katy Trail in Missouri is the country’s longest continuous recreational rail trail that runs 240 miles along the northern bank of the Missouri River. It follows the former Missouri–Kansas–Texas (KT) Railroad, hence it’s colloquial name “Katy Trail.” The Rock Island Trail State Park is the former corridor of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad. It is currently 47.5 miles (completed), with an additional 144 miles of undeveloped corridor.
