The United States and India have been working hard to improve bilateral relations with an emphasis on economic, scientific, and educational ties. One important way this is accomplished is through the education of students throughout India. The U.S. Dept of State asked me to create an illustrated map of all 50 states in the Union, featuring icons representing familiar landmarks, nature, well-known attractions and unique American values like equal opportunity, individual freedom and volunteerism. My map can be used to display the entire nation and also to highlight each individual state.
