My daughter recently traveled to Europe for the first time with a high school-sponsored educational tour group. They visited sites in Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. I made this fun map to highlight some of the unique things she saw and did along the way. I am a fan of Swedish artist Olle Eksell (1918-2007) and I chose a color palette and overall style as an homage to his whimsical colors and illustrations.
I made prints available for purchase to the families of the other students who went on the trip. I matted and framed this map and have it displayed on a shelf where my daughter can view it and recall fond memories.
