Atlantic Canada

In the Atlantic region of Canada, nearly 500 lighthouses still stand along the 33,000 miles of mainland and island coastline. Here is a rather detailed watercolor map I made to show a selection of some of the more famous lights in the region. My map was key in showing the relative locations of some of the sites mentioned in the story (below), published in the May 2014 issue of Country Extra magazine. This is an excellent example of how an editorial map illustration adds richness and added interest to a story.
